Leader Spiral Wound Gaskets

The Spiral Wound Gasket is among the most commonly used semi-metallic gaskets in various industries. The Spiral Wound Gasket consists of alternating layers of V-shaped metal strips and soft, non-metallic filler material. Leader Gasket can provide Spiral Wound Gaskets with various configurations of alloys and filler materials.

LeaderKAM

LeaderKAM kammprofile gaskets consist of a metallic core with machined concentric grooves with soft-facing materials applied on both sides for sealing purposes. Both faces are produced with soft sealing layers consisting of either graphite, PTFE, or LeaderTHERM NXT 1010.

Leader ElastaGraph

Elastagraph™ gaskets are produced by infusing seamless layers of flexible graphite at varying densities and thicknesses over a corrugated metallic core. Elastagraph™ utilizes a unique corrugated pattern, which increases the depth of the groove and the pitch at the peak of the corrugation. This dramatically improves the gaskets’ sealability over traditional corrugated designs. Available also for Heat Exchanger applications.

LeaderTherm NXT

LeaderTherm NXT is a specially treated phlogopite mica structure that offers superb chemical and high-temperature resistance up to 1,832 degrees F. LeaderTherm NXT is offered as filler material for Spiral Wound, facing material for Kammprofile and as metal-reinforced sheeting material in various thicknesses.

Leader Clipperlon

Made from Modified and Expanded PTFE, Clipperlon sheets are ideal for Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Food & Beverage applications. Leader Clipperlon significantly reduces creep (cold flow) to provide a reliable seal. Clipperlon Modified PTFE sheets are available with different fillers and as a 100% Pure Expanded PTFE Sheet.

Leader Compressed Fiber-Reinforced

Leader Gasket offers a comprehensive selection of compressed, non-asbestos sheets with different binders and fibers in various thicknesses and sizes. The product offering ranges from cost-effective, general-purpose sheets to fiber sheet solutions for more demanding applications.

Solution Spotlight

Frequent Replacement of Graphite Gaskets in Exhaust Application

A transportation customer required a solution for its exhaust application. The customer was using graphite gasketing material with a tanged stainless core and encountered several failures even with the gasket material being well within the temperature and pressure limitations. LGG Industrial partnered with Leader Gasket to design a specialty LeaderTherm NXT Gasket that could cope with low seating stresses as well as the medium Nitrogen Oxides (NOx). The right gasket, in combination with the proper installation, reduced costs and fugitive emissions while improving safety and reliability.
